60. look at your art in the mirror

After an hour+ working on a piece, it starts to look right. It plateaus.

When you reverse your art digitally or in a mirror, you see it through new eyes.

don’t be afraid to step away, come back and redo stuff. break it.

Ya so I drew this funny mushroom character and in the flipped image it looks so weird. I wonder if it’s because I’m used to it or because it looks better looking right. Does the Mona Lisa look good reversed?

Honestly it looks better reversed! Wow.

Ok so I think I’ll take my advice and come back to this mushroom character, break his head and redraw it.
